We are one of four chapters of the national organization called Back Country Horsemen of America. We are a non profit 501C3 located right here in Northwest Arkansas. Our BCHNWA mission is to preserve, maintain and protect access to public lands for equestrians, hikers, bikers, and other outdoor enthusiasts. We collectively put our boots on the ground and work in conjunction with public land agencies to maintain trails for future generations.
Back Country Horsemen of America was founded as a service, safety and educational organization that works with government land managers at all levels. Our volunteers and members have cleared thousands of miles of public trails across the country at an estimated value of tens of millions of dollars. If it weren't for our volunteer efforts, many public trails would go unusable to the public.
