The Arkansas BCH Annual Meeting:
ARBCH State meeting Huge Success in Witt Springs at Cowboy Up Trails brought in a record crowd with so many attendees we overflowed the campgrounds!

Riders enjoyed unforgettable trails, waterfalls, and camaraderie in the heart of the Ozarks. Thanks to all who contributed food, presentations, and support. Arkansas continues to lead the way in equestrian advocacy on public lands—and BCH is proud to be your voice.

Parade Pride: Rodeo of the Ozarks
A fun time was had by all during the Rodeo of the Ozarks Parade, where Back Country Horsemen of Northwest Arkansas rode proudly through the streets. Nyah Torres did a fantastic job carrying our BCHNWA flag— thank you for representing us with pride and professionalism!

Devil’s Den Horse Camp Grand Reopening
We’re excited to announce the official reopening of the newly remodeled Devil’s Den Horse Camp! Today’s grand opening included remarks from:
• Jeff King, Arkansas State Parks
• Shea Lewis, Secretary of Arkansas Parks
• Jay Schneider, Devil’s Den Superintendent
• Cynthia Edmondson, President of Cavalcade
• Jacque Alexander, Arkansas Back Country Horsemen

The upgraded facilities are a big win for Arkansas riders, and BCHNWA proudly donated a wheelbarrow to support manure management at the site. Great things happen when horsemen and public land partners work together!

First Pack-In Overnight: White Rock Region Goes Wild
The White Rock Region of BCHNWA held its first pack-in and overnight camping event, offering members a real wilderness experience! Led by Charlie Vaughn, riders packed in their gear and spent the night under the stars. With a strong turnout and great weather, the event was a reminder of why we ride—to connect with the land, each other, and the spirit of the backcountry.

Volunteer Shoutout: NWA Dressage Club Show Big thanks to Nancy Deisch, Nyah Torres, Kellie Crisp Cantu, and Lynne Patterson for running the BCHNWA info table at the NWA Dressage Club Show. Your outreach efforts help grow awareness and support for the BCH mission. We appreciate you!

Trail Work at Devil’s Den
Five BCHNWA members recently hit the Yellow Trail at Devil’s Den to clear downed trees and open the way for safe riding. Trail maintenance is what we do best— thanks to our hardworking team for keeping the backcountry open!

Honoring Susan Andrews: A Ride to Remember
On June 14, BCHNWA members and guests gathered at Flag Springs Conservation Area for the first annual Susan Andrews Memorial Ride. A founding member of BCHNWA and lifelong equestrian, Susan’s warmth and grit touched everyone she met. Her husband, children, and grandchildren joined us on the trail to celebrate her life and legacy. She will forever ride with us in spirit.

Until next time—ride smart, ride strong, and thank you for being part of BCH!
